What I need is a program that can act as a PA mixer for the computer. I'm sure it's possible, I just can't find a program that can do it. All it really needs to do is stream out the input from my mic to the speakers attached to the PC in realtime. Any suggestions?

Audacity can do it - if you just open the preferences window, check the input/output devices are set correctly, then enable the "Software Playthrough" option, that should be it. You should check the mixer software that came with your soundcard first though. I have a Santa Cruz card, and it's mixer program can do that.

I already tried audacity. It has a one second difference between input and output. I guess I'll look through my card's mixer program.

Yeah, I noticed that. It looks like it's done through software so that isn't surprising I guess. If you can do it with your card's mixer that shouldn't be a problem.

Edit: the Windows mixer might be enough to do this - try unmuting the microphone channel in the "Playback" volume control window and it should do what you want.

I guess that will work. I was kind of looking for a program specific to my needs, but that will work just fine. Thanks.
