| Tweak Minion | Now I'm interested in perhaps some dual-booting action on this baby. What's your favorite alternate OS? Obviously x86 based... Back in the day I used to dual boot QNX but it was more of a gimmick than anything. I also played around with Linux a lot but I was tech savvy then so consider me a moron by today's standards |

| Senior Member | Try kubuntu its pretty cool os. The cube may be old now but i still enjoy it. Very easy if you have multiple windows open. If you in to gaming alot some games are not 100 percent compatible but most should work fine. GL in what ever new os you try. |

| Tweak Minion | Ok so I spent last night and this morning playing around with Kubuntu and I just don't get it. Last time I tried Linux was Debian I believe 10 years ago now (wow!) and honestly I don't think it's come that far. It's a lot easier to use, slicker but just as awkward as before. I figured after all this time and development from the community it would be a revolution--but it really didn't blow me away. Maybe another 10 years |

| Cheap Bastard | If you're gonna switch from one OS to another, you have to relearn everything again. It's not a painless transition. |

| Tweak Minion | Well, of course! But by switching I saw basically 0 advantage or reason to use an alternate OS. The interface wasn't revolutionary, the software wasn't better, it wasn't faster, etc... I guess at this point I'm happy being a drone... |

| Cheap Bastard | Then that means Windows is the right tool for the kind of work you do. That's it. |
