AT&T to Buy BellSouth for $67B

My AT&T account manager gave me the heads up on this a few months ago.

Kinda of funny, AT&T sells AT&T Wireless to Cingular. Cingular is owned by SBC and BellSouth. SBC Buys AT&T and renames the new company AT&T. AT&T buys BellSouth, which means AT&T now owns Cingular.

Wow. Atleast it will end up saving my company money. Now all of our local service, long distance and most of our wireless service will fall under one company so we will get even better discounts.

That is smart though. There is no way they could sell phone service on a cell phone. Verizon takes the cake, so it sounds..in my opinion.

Hopefully this doesn't mean higher prices for consumers and less wages for employees like it did when cingular bought at&t wireless.
