Auto Assault Preview

<a href=http://www.shacknews.com/extras/2006/030606_autoassault_1.x>Shacknews has posted a preview</a> of Auto Assault, the new massive multiplayer game from NetDevil (published by NCSoft), which arrives in stores before mid-April. It's sort of like Mad Max meets World of Warcraft.

I dont think so. It doesn't look like a good combo to me. I will wait and see later...

Personally, as a car guy, I'd rather play a car SIM online than anything else, but could imagine AA being pretty popular w/ some crowds. I probably will not buy it.

Speaking of car games, if you played it ... Motor City Online had way too many issues but was a beautiful concept - you could even barter and sell parts like a true tank-top wearing oil-changing mullet-bearing Camaro owner.

I think consoles will dominate the online car game scene very soon w/ the new Forza and Gran Turismo games on all the new next-generation hardware.

When it comes to racing titles, I only really enjoy realistic and borderline realistic titles. PGR and GT are as low as I'll go. :P

I have played the beta for autoassault, and much like planetside its fun for a few days, but not long lasting enough to be an mmo you pay monthly for.
