    Car washin... Which first?

Many videos and guides seem to only cover the exterior of the car..
when you wash your car doesn't it make more sense that you should clean the inside first? such as patting down the matts
or are the matts just patted down and everything else is wiped to give it a scent after the wash?

I always do inside first as do most hand wash car washes I've been to.

I vary my methods. it seems to work out better, to vac the interior before washing the exterior. Else dust get on the wax.

I always do the interior first. And I plan on leaving the car alone after I finish washing it for a whiile, so I don't want to go in the doors and make a mess with water dripping down the windows/doors etc.

To clean the interior I remove the mats way from the car, beat them senseless until all the dust is out, then vacuum them. Sometimes I wash them on dirty dirty cars.

I use a wet rag with very minor soap to clean everything else in the interior. And I use a paint brush (or any soft brush like that) to clean inside all the seams and vents.

I've followed your thread on detailing.. I was just wondering because many guides out there never tell you.. well it makes sense though... did you get rid of the cum stains before you sold the neon?

It looked better, but they were still there.

I do both at the same time. While I'm riding through the car wash I wipe down the console and interior with those Armor All wipes.

i use the meguiars wipes.. they smell good and do a great job cleaning any surface except glass.

i bought the california duster (the red duster thing), and it leaves traces of red fibers or dust ALL over the car.. i cant even use it.
so im looking for another "duster" alternative that wont cause scratches of swirl marks

I use soap and water to clean the interior, does a really good job.
I usually do the interior first because it can be done during daylight, the exterior has to be done at dusk/night or inside.
