Came out a day or two ago. I'm curently watching it now, and it seems to dive into economics. I don't know what to say about it (~10 minutes in), but I'm sure it'll be an interesting film.. especially given the content and current events going on.

Anyway, open discussion about it in this thread!

1/2 done, going to watch the rest after work.

I'm shocked though, so the video clearly works.

I don't think I've ever heard such a cogent breakdown of anything in my life. From the status quo to the rudiments of civilization, this movie seems to leave no stone unturned in proving its point. An amazing and profound piece of work, to be sure.

That video was all over the place and I think I need to go find some shallow, vain entertainment to help my brain stop hurting.

I mean I get what the dude was saying throughout the whole thing and that there's got to be better alternatives to the system we have. But really, I spend my days playing in a pool and make enough to live decently. I don't need to go out and raise, hunt or harvest my food and I'm cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Unbelievable. So much to take in--but the thing that stood out most to me was the choke hold fossil fuels have on us despite the fact we DON'T NEED IT.

It's sick

that first economic explanation of money and inflation was a little over my head but i caught the deep down purpose..
but the rest of the content was spot on with my already "established" beliefs about the world and how it turns.

that ending was quite powerful in a matrix-ey kind of way
im definitely making copies and passing this out to friends and for them to pass to friends etc etc. By now majority of the people i talk to are already aware of the world bank and the enslavement of everyone, but this will only rectify and expand their knowledge.

loved that george carlin interview snippet, especially since i just watched about 4 of his standups last weekend.

just wished it was in better quality (the .avi version i download)

I D/L'd it too.
It is a representation of what I've been trying to communicate for years now. how come it's not labeled tinfoil? This vid only scratches the surface IMO? I guess that could make my delivery tinfoil where this producer/director delivers a more pointed and rounded subject matter. It's my still my contention that that you only see 5-10% of an iceburg.
It's OK, tinfoil is a usefull thing Just the tinfoil label reaches far more people that aren't affraid to make a stink over the crappy way things are run. a person just has to grab the attention of the ones who are going to scream loudest. (old 70's ploy )

I still got about 45 more minutes of it to finish, which I'll do when I'm at work today. I totally agree with moving away from the monetary system. The only problem is, it won't happen until we literally break and suffer. And even then, the corporations stlil have such a huge say that they'll want to rebuild everything the way they see fit.

It sucks. What I'm trying to do in my life is to minimize my debts and not live playing payments on shit I don't need.

So far I've been pretty good at this. My only debt is my college tuition that's only about 14,000 dollars. I plan on paying that back asap.

Way to go dude! This is my aim also. After i repay our debts through consumer credit counciling, I plan on retiring from that ratrace. Alot of my cutting back is out of need due to extreem losses of income. I will survive, even if the worlds' way of doing things totally crashes and burns. funny thing is, when the dependencies of this system start to be cut, the more you can see what a scam everything really is and how one sided it is all set up.
The world's ills can all be attributed to dependencies of one sort or another. dependencies keep us prisoner in "the box" that is chosen for us.
Everyone has them and they are used to control the person to the extent of the severity of the dependency. Commerce is a great tool for this and it works so well. Denial is a symptom of dependency.
(Q) What does independence look like?

LOL....I luv that site!
i'm collecting junk to make alternative power projects out of and just got hooked up with the dumpster at a local solar instalation company. I work at
a corp that sells and services appliances, furniture, does remodels, home building and all aspaects of home improvement, so you can imagine all the appliance parts, wood, scrap materials that are at my disposal. I aslso have a boss that's supportive of my tinkering. You might check whatever source is around your area as there are upgrades and replacements done on solar panels that have been damaged. if you can solder, you can piece together and configure your own panels.
if you are looking into new panels, go wwith the thin film type. they are more robust, more efficient and much, much more green to produce....cheaper too.

I thought "Zeitgeist" fed into more of the Loose Change bullshit personally. I'll check this out though.

EDIT: Well I agree with the "printing money out of thin air" segment. *cough*Ronpaul*cough*
