As you know, Dan and I have been working on the site for a while now, doing little and big things to the front page and the forums. I was wondering if you guys had any comments as to any of the changes you noticed, and any you might want in the future. Anything is not too outlandish, I just want to get a feel for what people want and expect from a forum other than it operating smoothly.

I want to thank everyone for dealing with the few outages the server has had in recent months, we are making sure that is a thing of the past. Again anything you want, might want, or have seen elsewhere, examples are welcome.

(On a side note, I am working on a new site design/theme as well for the forums, but if you have any sites or designs that you particularly like, those would be helpful as well for inspiration and guidance.)

I think the mods should be required to post naked ladies in NSFW daily...

What are your work specs, like computer + browser and os. What is the internet connection, and where are you located?

That might help finding out why its so slow.

Honestly....its been really good the last year or so now. Dan really stepped it up since the Tweak3d.orgy took place.

Too bad we lost some of the crowd during those dark times...

I have trouble with the site kinda locking up on IE7...at home and at work...both fairly decent machines (1GB+ of ram and at least P43.2) right when it tries to load up with a thread or just a listing of forums. It started happening as soon as i installed IE7 on those machines about 2-3 months ago and has just been that way so i just assumed it was something to do with ie7 but if theres anything that can be done it would be nice

You guys have done a really good job in breathing some life back into the site/forums. Maybe we (T3D) could get into some sort of product reviews. I'm sure a lot of people here buy the latest product as soon as it hits the shelf. Getting some T3D reviews would attract more people.

The site works 100% for me (except for the outages). It helps keep me sane for the long hours of doing nothing at work.

I like the site as it sits. I think member reviews of whatever we can would be cool to add to the site.

Word.

As for site performance, I browse from a variety of hardware configuration and OSs from work and have no problem. I suspect any issues that travisty08 is seeing is likely company proxy server / firewall related.

Well do any of you go to any other sites on a regular basis? If so what are they, and can you tell me why you like going there? Other forums and/or tech sites or general sites are welcome. Were not looking to make T3D like other sites, but we are always looking at ways to improve your experience and the feel of the site.

Since there have been a few of you recommending user reviews. Dan and I have thought of this before but werent sure how well it would be received. I would like to get something setup, where you guys could easily review something in a unified way, and we could promote it on the front page as well.

I visit thumbnailpost.com also on a regular basis. I like going there for all the naked ladies.

I think Tweak is fine the way it is. The only addition I could think of is a bigger community, but I guess that comes with time and front page stuff.

Gog's psp guide is a great example of what would bring in more people. We have a pretty large technology knowledge base here. If we tapped that more I think it would help.

I'm trying to evolve.

Yeah, actually I am looking at how to wrap up our user generated content so its easy to access but not a huge production for you guys. Gog's guide was very good, then there was Laz's custom build with lots of pics which I thought would be cool to share.

I hit:

nvnews.net
anandtech.com
hardocp.com

on a daily basis (along with T3D).

I think if you could step it up to a nvnews level, that should be your next target.

We are working on that, it looks like a server side issues, which we are having someone trying to fix. Sorry about the delay.

I would gladly do a review or two on my system. It is pretty much the most overclockable system I could build (without spending a ton of cash). Member revi
