I wonder if this is the author who was on the History Channel program about the Da Vinci Code? He had written a similar book in the 80s, and had mutton chops and chain smoked through the entire interview. Interesting dude...

Yeah that's him...I figured this would happen since in that documentary they were already discussing Brown taking part or most of the idea.

Anyone here read both? I've only read the fiction, but I'd be interested to do a comparison. But in anycase can you really have intellectual rights (or whatever they're claiming) to a theory like that? I'm not farmiliar with what the laws are.... Plus DaVinci's Code is published and marketed as fiction. Sueing something that claims it's not real anyhow.

I wonder how similar cases have been judged.

I had a feeling it would be that guy. He didnt seem to have a problem with it in that documentary. Maybe he's seeing the money roll to Dan Brown and wants a piece of the action? I didnt really read the article.

this is no secret really, everyone knew he took the ideas from holy blood, holy grail. he just added a bit mroe fantasy to it.

I still hate the da vinci code, and how everyone believes it really does exist.
