I just hope that when WW III happens that NOBODY uses any nuclear weapons. A Thermo-Nuclear war would devastate the entire planet, and everybody will pay. Even those who were meant to protect will suffer in one way or another.

I've been watching this closely and am very concerned. If you recall, this is exactly how the Gulf War began; Iraq pushing Kuwait around and US getting involved.

I understand what the US is doing and agree. The world cannot stand idly by and watch a super power invade a smaller nation at the expense of many innocent lives. That is not what our country stands for.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing"

However, in the same respect (and as always) I hope that diplomacy works and Russia concedes.

My friend, I pray and hope it does. but what i see, is sabre rattling, and arrogant sabre rattling to boot. USSR fell apart and lost alot. Thier finances were in a shambles and they had to bankrupt. I've always suspected that if and when they began to return to solvency, that the restructuring (including reclaiming lost territory) would push the USA to try to keep them down. My fears seem to be founded. The recent involvement in Russia's neighbors countries by the USA attempting to locate a missile defense system is tantamount to USSR placing nukes in Cuba back in the very early 60's. They are making a countermove and we are just as much to blame as they for the suffering in Georgia. It's a big chess game at this point and Bush (the puppet Bush) is not sounding too awefull diplomatic. The tinfoil on my head is vibrating real bad on this one people. What if this is all a ruse and distraction from something much more sinister? 12/21/2012 is just around the corner after all. What if there is something known that we as peons are not savy to? And, BTW, M.A.D. is alive and well.

Things definitely aren’t good, but I think its insane to start worry about a world war breaking out at this point.

I dunno, seems alot like history just repeating itself again. Doing the same historical things, we may just get different results this time.

A good movie? "By Dawn's Early Light". Shows just how much we do not need to feed the monster that is waking up after a short sleep. another cold war is the least that'll happen. The scarey thing about a cold war? It can self ignite and become "hot" at any given moment.

I don't get why people are so damn worried. Russia knows what they're doing. From what I understood Georgia tried to be a power house and couldn't take it so they cried to the world. Israel bombed the hell out of Lebanon and disabled them. Georgia is in the same position. It sucks but what to do.

I'm pissed that Poland accepted, being from Poland myself I don't like that they're getting involved in other countries interests. This won't benefit them at all.

The whole Georgia incident also shows what America is about. I believe America and Georgia were really close allies.... and looks what happened. Who can trust that America is on their side now?

I don't like the reasoning at all for the missile site. They claim it's for protection from Iran, a rogue state... is Iran a rogue state? It's just as civilized as any western country last I checked. It's just new wave colonialism, expanding our empire when we should be fixing the homeland.

It was obvious that we couldn't involve ourselves with Georgia. We're already fighting a war that is destroying us financially. Why the hell would we put ourselves in a position that will just end up as a failure? It sucks that Russia attacked them, but aside from diplomacy we don't have the resources right now to get involved.

As for Iran being civilized, well I guess if you mean they have technology and they live inside of buildings. Culturally they're living in the middle ages.

rogue state - definition of rogue state by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

rogue state - a state that does not respect other states in its international actions

Does that mean America is a rogue state?

That's Iran's culture. There is no standard culture in life. It's what people live by.
