I only got to watch the last 15 minutes but it seemed to be much better and more substantive than previous debates.

I think McCain did fairly well but still came off as dick in a couple of parts.

Same old McCain, just seemed more desperate to get his last words in to try and make up for his loss in polls. I did like his line "I am not President Bush, if you wanted to run against him you should've run 4 years ago".. Whether true or not, it was a good line. The whole Bill Ayers thing is going to hurt McCain more than help him at this point.

Obama kept his composure and again showed himself to be more collected in his thoughts than McCain, EASILY. The fact alone that Obama is a much better speaker and communicator than McCain is yet another reason why he's ahead in every single poll out there. Every time McCain stutters or loses track of what he was talking about, he just seems older and weaker, at least to me.

OH... another great line, when Obama said the fine to people not adopting gov't healthcare was zero, McCain said "...zero?....." and had the best look on his face. I hope to find a YouTube of that soon. It was fucking hilarious.

I really think they should have one last debate, but instead of debate just have a fist fight. winner gets to be president. that would be much more interesting than listening to the same shit come out of their mouths.

although admittedly this was a rather feisty debate since they were finally allowed to address each other.

Step one: Cut a hole in a box.

Ok I've watched the whole thing. McCain came out on top tonight, he kept hitting Obama with little jabs here and there and Obama only addressed some of the most serious ones and ignored or down played the others.

Watching McCains reactions while Obama was responding makes me wonder how he got elected in the first place. He comes off as a complete douche and if I remember correctly both Al Gore and John Kerry came off the same way in the debates and we know how that turned out.

I'm still holding on to my double digit win by Obama (which I do realize is quite a feat).

Really? See, I thought the last two debates were fairly close, but I thought that Obama blew McCain out of the water in this one.

McCain said a ton of untrue statements and they were easily nulled by Obama. Also, when McCain said that his entire campaign was about getting the economy back on track was hilarious. I was glad that Obama mentioned how McCain wanted to "turn the page" on the economy after that.

Don't get me wrong I don't think McCain was more truthful I think he just came off better to the average American.

You are right though, McCain was twisting facts left and right! I thought that line about his campaign being about the economy was funny as well.

Hah! Have McCain yell "Why you!", and fling a chair at Obama, starting a chair-throwing free-for-all! That would have been hilarious! I turned up music so I wouldn't have to hear the debate going on upstairs. It wasn't that far from a brawl at any point, and I'm tired of hearing it.

McCain could not stop blinking. Did anybody else notice this? For ADD people like me this was distracting as a motherfucker. And he kept trying to force a smile the whole time.

I didn't watch it. My vote is locked at this point unless there is some shocking revelation, and frankly I don't think it matters all that much. The economy will push Obama slightly over the top. Were it not for the color of his skin I think he could have won by double digit margins, but good old fashioned racism is going to make things close. I don't really like either candidate very much anyway, and don't think the country will be vastly different in four years regardless of who wins.

Ugh. I can't stand watching McCain talk. He never moves his upper lip. I also noticed that both candidates are lefties.

He went to go walk around the table, and somebody or something was in his way, I don't remember. So he moved to the other side, then back again, then tried to make a joke about which way to go and did that hand gesture back and forth, or actually side to side; and I guess Obama just happened to be walking away when he did that.
