where is this number from?

someone called my phone with this number twice this week and both times i was unable to pick up:

3-313-998-9399

i added the spacing, i think its probably from a different country or something. i havent called it because i fear it might cost a lot of money to call it. anyone know what country/city thats from?

3-313? uh.. dunno.

313 is Detroit.

33 = France
1 = Paris
then the other 8 digits are the number.
The number is registered with France Telecom, as per http://www.numberingplans.com.

EDIT: Call up 611, see if they'll add the 3.99 dialing feature. It'll be 6 cents / minute plus airtime.

EDIT AGAIN: Or 1-800-335-4685 (Cingular International Wireless Care) directly, seeing as they're the ones you'll be transferred to anyway.

LAST EDIT: Couldn't turn up anything on French reverse lookups... maybe Lord Kain would have more luck :P
