while its just rumor atm, it certainly wouldnt suprise me if it were true.

RIAA is going after congress to sue the XM and Sirus sat radio. I just wrote three congressmen about that shit.

I just got a form letter reply from my congressman oven an issue I wrote them about. Will it make a difference? Who knows, but it would be hard for me to complain if I did nothing.

mistawiskas, did you save what you wrote? I suck at writing formal letters, and I'd like to write my congressmen regarding the same issue. It'd be nice to have some sort of template! If you could hook me up, I'd appreciate it.

Are you kidding? If anything XM and Sirius are helping artists. For instance, I've been listening to alot of electronica for the past year or so and I've found alot of new artists by listening to Sirius(even though XM has alot better trance/techno stuff).

RIAA doesn't care about electronica though, they are after the bands that pay the RIAA for support for defeating pirating so pretty much every mtv band or popular band is what they don't want played I believe. I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, I did not save the letter I sent. There is a form letter with congressional representative identifyer by district available for this issue. i'll see if I can dig it up for you.
