Oh man, for some reason thinking about comcast just gives me a stomach ache.
I dont know about you guys that have Time warner, but here in memphis there has been a switch and i dont know if its nationwide yet.

All ive ever heard was how horrible comcast's internet access has been, terrible speeds, and strict rules on downloading, etc.

Do you think they are gonna completely overhaul the broadband distribution by capping us, limited monthly bandwidth, etc?

Or will everything just be the same but with a different name?

It'll probably stay the same for a limited amount of time and then changes will be implimented slowly and methodically. That's the usual MO for takeover motivated changes, that way they're less likely to loose customers and still be able to change things to their way of thinking.

I have comcast and it's nothing but awesome. Upload speed is a bit slow but I believe Comcast is the fastest provider in VA as well as the states surrounding.

Sub 30 ping on almost all east coast servers.

I used to have comcast internet 03-05 and it rocked, no limit caps, and they were rarely down.

The TW takeover thing kind of does wierd me out, now there's no real compition in cable tv. It's TW/Verizon's fiberTV/Dish and that's pretty much it. Compition, prepare to die!

I work for comcast, oddly enough I will be in the center that services Memphis. Our speeds rock up here in Knoxville, I get around 8100 on dl 730 on ul. I havent been blocked yet and I download way too much.
