i hate all this race bullshit. I swear its making me more and more inclined to just move into an all white neighborhood just to get away from the possibility of a race related altercation. I went to schools where i was a minority and was always picked on for the color of my skin, and it blows. It is pitiful really, but the chain of events is pretty clear in the wiki article at least. The nooses were a pretty damn racist "prank" to pull, if not an outright threat, however no one can really know the intentions other than those who did it. From that, it was just a tit-for-tat escalation, like any other conflict on earth. That said, anyone responsible for any crime should be held accountable.

I've got nothing against anyone of a different color or creed as long as they don't mess with my family's quality of life. It seems to me that lately the black community isn't interested in integration, joining us in mainstream society. To that I say it's their right, and they are welcome to segregate themselves if they chose. The courts are overturning the forced segregation decisions of the 1970s, white folks are still fleeing / congregating in the affluent suburbs, and so backward we go. There are very few black kids in my daughter's school, and yet we live 10-15 minutes away from a predominantly black part of Cincinnati. Where will it end? They'll be alone again in decaying neighborhoods and schools and scream racism and segregation, and the cycle will begin again. In the mean time my family will live a higher standard of living, so frankly I don't care.

There is hardly anything on earth that'd make me cry. but the state of affairs revolving around the hatred for other human beings because of difference as trivial as skin color, hairstyles, clothing and beliefs....just about gets me choked up. if crying would do any good, I'd be ballin' like a baby. the only thing I can do about it, is just to treat all people as I'd hope to be treated and let it start with me.

Eh...Depends. I had something similar happen when I was in high school where some white kids started up shit. There was a big divide between the races unless you either played sports or knew the other race outside of school. It was about 50/50 and only the dumbass white kids got their ass beat (rightfully so in this instance) so it may not have originated a long time ago, who knows.
