I saw that Scrubbin Bubbles got a Chuck Palahniuk book for SS from Lord Kain and was wondering what else everyone is reading?

I'm currently reading Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk and some Cowboy Bebop manga. I just finished Ishmael by Daniel Quinn and Choke by Chuck as well.

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.

I read online and magazines mostly. I don't have the attention span for books these days. The last book I read was Sting's autobiography (Tiny Music) in the spring. It was pretty good. Currently I'm reading Lure the Tiger Out of the Mountain, which is a Chinese book of strategy. But it's basically a bathroom book.

I don't read books. I really should start reading something other than hackaday and google news.

smokers are not people, they are walking advertisements for the cancer industry of america, they are polluters, and they are a nicotine epidemic -Torx

Makes sense to me!

I've finished these:

and am currently reading this:

I've never really seen the movie, just clips here and there. I doubt, however, the movie is as melancholy as the actual novel. It's pretty trippy though, and enjoyable. The Barnes & Noble classics is a great series. They take the classic novels and sell them for about $5. They're very good quality with glossy covers AND they have introductions and end notes to help u understand about the author and story.

"As you can see, I've memorized this utterly useless fact long enough to pass a test question. I now intend to forget it forever. You've taught me nothing except how to cynically manipulate the system. Congratulations."

Holy shit! You have never seen the Wizard of Oz?

But yeah, it's not very melancholoy at all. Dorothy whines about how nobody at home understands her, and then whines because she wants to go home. The rest is just dancing midgets and singing, and on that level it is a smash.

I don't read anymore unless I'm forced to. I like audio books. My mind doesn't seem to wander as much while listening as opposed to reading. You know what I mean?

I've been into a lot of Richar Marcinko and Tom Clancy stuff lately. In "The Sum of All Fears" I love how it takes around 3-4 minutes for Clancy to describe how a nuclear bomb goes off! In all actuality it only happens in a period of a nanosecond.! Killer!

I think one of the great problems we have in the Republican Party is that we don't encourage you to be nasty. We encourage you to be neat, obedient, loyal and faithful and all those Boy Scout words, which would be great around a campfire but are lousy in politics.

I'm not the reader in my family, that honor goes to my dad. I only like how-to books and reading that teaches me something.
