I left to make my deliveries on Monday (truck driver - remember) and on my way back yesterday I stopped to eat at a truck stop and heard some crazy shit on CNN. They were talking about the Chinese trying to move in south of the border and the Mexican nation trying to move north of the border and that Canada is irate with us north of the border and the U.S. officials trying to set up a wall at the border...... what the hell happened while I was driving?

They were discussing on CNN about Chinas attempts to move more business into Mexico that was on the iffy side of things and Canada was blaming us for the gun problems and all the talk here that they may actually put up a wall and start deporting te illegals.....

I agree but eventually it would improve the situation as well...but it would take alot of time to get there. I see all the businesses that would close up shop and then the owners would have to pay more for regular citizens to work or them and all that.

I also heard on CNN that the moeny sent to people in Mexico constitutes the SECOND largest source of revenue for Mexico (oil is the first). So that means that they come here and get on our welfare programs and other agencies designed to help actuall citizens and then send it to Mexico....then don't work jobs to contribute back to those programs they have taken from.

My brother says we should just absorb Mexico entirely and make them ALL citizens so that their corrupt government is gone and then they work real jobs for real pay and get real benefits and then pay taxes to contribute back to society...

We need to get rid of illegals. I think Bush has failed on this. I understand what he's doing allowing them to stay and get permits and crap, but you have to draw the line somewhere and just kick them out.

You really have no idea how much work in America is done by illegals if you don't think that is true. I've worked construction for 3 years, houses around the country are built in large part by illegals, much of agriculture work (fruit picking comes to mind) is done by illegals, house cleaning, the list goes on.

i live in northern california and everytime i drive to l.a. all i see are farms with mexicans working in the fields, im talking hundreds, problably more than a thousand.
