I'll take my earthquakes over your hurricanes any day of the week. No way I could live somewhere that goes through the same thing every year.

Hurricanes and Tornados scare me the most. They are so unpredictable and you can suddenly be in one. When I lived in Texas, several times did I think a Tornado was going to kill us but luckily it turned the other way.

Up here in the NW, we have earthquakes and Volcanoes but I've been here almost over 10 years now and only really noticed one earthquake and it wasn't really that big.

Hurricanes give you lots of warning, plenty of time to call and get some insurance lined up!

MSP is correct, you can almost always head out to the beach for some bikini action. Thats true even in the dead of winter when its 45deg out....

Can't complain about the weather here. Connecticut is one of the few states that doesn't have to worry about any of that. No hurricanes, no earthquakes, a tornado every 10-15 years, and some snow. Sounds like we've got the best deal going on up here, eh?

Psshh..... I hated the weather in CT! Bone chilling cold, ice, lots of snow, and very short summers... Groton was the biggest waste of a beach I've ever been to. Cold water, and only warm enough to go the beach like one month out of the year. I'm happy down here in VA!

ya i suppose the warning is correct. but if you are in it, you die lol. earthquakes are usually sudden but (at least up here), they won't kill you or cause much damage.

a tsunami would suck

BUT you are missing the bigger picture. YOU LIVE IN CONNECTICUT.

And "some snow" is an understatement.
