What is Canadas tax percent when purchasing stuff?

I cannot find it on Google, I keep getting mortgage other stuff like that.

Like when you buy food or a game?

it's more or less 14% in my province

like 6 for the GST, then another 8% for the provincial tax

(plus the 40% of my salary they steal)

It depends on the province. The federal sales tax, the GST, is 6%. Many provinces have a provincial sales tax, the PST, which varies widely. Some provinces such as Alberta have no PST.

If I remember correctly, alberta is like the only province in which there is no Provincial Sales Tax (PST). So you're only going to pay 6%GST

Does it really matter though, cause I'm pretty sure that they will re-emburse you at the border if your a resident of the states.
