watermarking mp3s??

Hey guys , as some of you know i posted some unheard new music from Gn'R last night. I got some ppl telling me that the files could be watermarked and they could trace back to me. How the hell can I know if theyre watermarked. I think theyre telling me this so i can give them the rest of the songs i have so they can do it for me.

I wouldn't worry about it. But yeah, I do believe that is possible. But I don't know how you would check.

yeah they have watermarkings now, where did you get the song off of?

It won't be traced to YOU, it will be traced to the original CD that was ripped (the ORIGINAL, not a copy). Speaking from experience, mp3 groups don't release things that are watermarked, so don't worry about it.

guarnteed they didn't buy it. i highly doubt its watermarked though.
