I'm not sure if I asked this question or not, but what do you guy's think about University of Pheonix... They have campuses all over and they have a degree I want. What I really think all a degree is is a piece of paper saying you completed something and learned a few things here and there. What do your employers think of University of Pheonix? I want to get into IT and they have a bachelors, all other school's either have computer science or mangement information systems

Edit: and when I was working at Apple they really didn't care where you got a degree either, as long as you had one

I really depends, I know some employeers currently see UofP as a low end school but in the future that might change if more and more people get their degree from them. I am not sure what Tier school that is, maybe Tier 3 or something. That matters at some places like Intel. My sister was told as a fact that she is getting paid more just because she graduated from Berkeley being it is a Tier 1 school.

Would sac state be tier 2? Oh, and Berkeley is like one of the top UC's school here in CA, so i would expect her to get paid more

I've heard horrible things about them.. Their "campuses" are in strip malls for god's sake. Their also terribly over priced if I'm not mistaken.

I suggest you take as many trsnferable units as possible at your local (and cheap) junior college, then transfer to whatever UC you can get into. That was originally my plan, before I decided that I wanted a career in EMS.

I see their buildings all over the country. But not in Arizona, weird. Anyway, not sure how reputable they are but some people we laid off got their degrees from them.
