| is fucking awesome | hey haven't been around in a while but hope everyone is well. Just got these guys for Christmas and they are ridiculous. I had been using the in ear Bose headphones which retail for about $100 from best buy which I got last Christmas, but since I will be flying to New Zealand (21.5 hour flight + a 7 hour lay over in California) in mid Februrary these seem like a very necessary replacement. My soon to be brother in law uses them and says you wont understand how loud a plane ride actually is until you use and take them off. So far I have just been using them off my laptop, and I have been blown away. Perfect weight, extremely comfortable, great leather case and package, and the bass is kicking. Bose lives up to its reputation with this one because the sound quality is flawless. ![]() I would never have bought them by myself, since they retail for $349 but so far they are worth it. I feel like they will pay for themselves on the plane. It is odd that they cost more than my video ipod! Bose QuietComfort 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones – Headphones and Headsets |

| Original Gangsta | I'm glad you like them bose does make good stereo equipment, but I've always felt they were over priced for what you get. Maybe the q3 will prove me wrong? Ill hafta check em out |

| I Am The Black Wizards | I prefer the QC2. The around ear design blocks out more surrounding ambience noise, as well as being slightly more comfortable. They are pretty amazing, though. |

| Tweak Minion | The Bose system in my buddies 2001 Grand AM blew so much ass. I don't know but the stock speakers in my 2002 Dodge Neon are really good compared to any stock system in cheap cars. I actually have bass. |

| outside the box! | I'm of the opinion, that for the price of any Bose equipment, you can find better for less. I do, however, have no opinion on thier headphones yet. They need some new breakthrough technology to justify their pricing, otherwise, they're just riding on thier name. |

| infinite resolution | The Bose headphones are some of their better products, but otherwise the company makes absolute trash. You know why people think they are so "high end?" Because they spend something like 10 times on advertising what real audio brands do, they put it in "lifestyle" magazines that people with disposable income buy and they charge a lot. The Bose cube systems that sell for $3000 can be beat sound quality-wise by many $500 systems. That said, noise canceling technology works very well for airplane noise and other low level, constant frequency noises. I use a pair of Sony canal phones and just got off a cross country flight. They work perfectly well for blocking out noise as well. Last edited by ninefivezero; 12-29-2007 at 12:15 PM.. |

| El Chupacabra | For the same price, you could get these: Etymotic ER-4S @ HeadRoom - Right Between Your Ears ...and this: HeadRoom Total AirHead @ HeadRoom - Right Between Your Ears The headphones without the amp would blow the Bose out of the water for $100 less and provide better noise canceling since they are true canal phones. Add the amp for the same price as the QC3s, and you are talking about a different experience entirely. That's an extreme example, but there are several sub-$100 cans that are better than the QC3s. Bose haters unite. |

| Tweak Minion | bose are pretty brutal, way over priced and they do terrible in the high and low frequencies (thus the term "no highs, no lows, must be bose) They've always been over marketed and overpriced, toted as "the best for your money" and other bullshit like that. |

| Holla | i would never spend that much on a pair of headphones, espically bose. I have heard there headphones are some of the better products they make, but still seems a little crazy at that price. |

| Horrible Person | Yuck, I just saw those the other day. I fucking hate over-ear headphones. Why pay for a nice pair of headphones if they aren't noise-canceling? I know it says that, but how can it compare to ones that your ears go *inside*? |

| infinite resolution | No offense but you seem like exactly their target audience, someone who is very brand/image conscious and spends too much money... What other products from Bose have you used? |

| Globe Trekker | I LOVE over the ear phones. And I've used the Bose. They are actually really nice. But I can get the same sound canceling effects and quality of the Bose from a high quality set of $80 in-ear buds. But the Bose are more comfortable. There seems to be a lot of snobbery around headphones. Stick to what you like. If it sounds good to you and is in your budget, it's all good. |

| Indigenous Nudist | dont forget, in ear canal phones... you can hear rubbing of the wires all the way into your ear.. especially if the headphone wires are textured.. you gotta sit real still with in earphones |

| Tweak Minion | Quote:
the sound is quite flawed. If broken down, the frequency range in which the majority of bose speaker and headphone products can reproduce is quite weak. Also, in their satalite/subwoofer systems are the cheapest, paper and foam drivers you can buy (all can be bought OEM for roughly ~$300 and none of which can physically hit certain frequencies because of their size. | |
