The paper cheques have been issued: I got mine in the mail yesterday, and thanks to a treaty between Canada and the US, I get ALL of my taxes back this year. I don't think I qualify for the stimulus bonus though, but that's no big deal to me.

It's going into the account for now and will probably be used to fund a new notebook to replace my iBook later this year.

Bah I just called these fuckers and I won't be getting my check until the 13th of June. I used H&R Block and they said since it was a preparers account, and then they put the money in my account I would be getting a paper check.

Nice, got it a day early. This definitely compensates for all the home improvement purchases. Sweet!

They redirect their direct deposits through Santa Barbara Bank and Trust, thusly, they screwed you out of a stimulus direct deposit.

I'm not sure if I've gotten mine yet or not, have to ask the wife when I get back home. I don't have anything fun earmarked for the money anyway so I'm not getting too excited about it.

I used the free Turbo Tax efile, are you saying I'll be getting a check in the mail instead of direct deposit?

How did you pay for your filing fees? If you had it deducted from your refund, then that is where the screwing comes in.

Are you guys talking about your stimulus money, or your actual tax return?

Mine was postmarked on the due date (April 15?) and I received my check not more than a week or so later.. I was blown away.. Last SS digits are 99 (yes, 99).

I did my wife's taxes and filed via mail. Just authorized direct deposite and all went without a hitch.

Got mine as well.

95% chance I'll just leave it in savings, I have no debt to pay off and nothing I really want/need to buy.

I don't really need anything now either...

Just going to browse through DealSucker.com - deal of the day monitoring tracker aggregator and see if anything strikes my fancy
