Pretty heft role in Steven Speilberg's Empire of the Sun (1987).

He's been doing serious acting since before I was born.

So is this one going to be the end? No more present shit right? We go straight to 2029 and watch John Connor save the world and beat the machines

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.

After T3, and that terrible tv series... I'm not holding my breath for anything good.

I thought T3 was the best. Understand I watched T1 in my teens when it came out. 20 years later, seeing that crap come together, it had an effect on me.

There is no doubt I will see this.

T3 the best? I could see liking it. I mean there were good parts. But the difference between T2 and any other Terminator movie is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug. Different strokes and all that, I suppose though eh. I just had to speak my piece. T2 isn't just the greatest action movie ever made, it's one of the best films period.

Just out of curiosity, how old were you when T1 came out? Like I said, I was in my teens and it was reasonably state of the art at that time. Nowadays, it's a little weathered. Experiencing that and 20 years later seeing T3 sort of tied together my youth with my adulthood.

T2 was pretty good, but I liked T3 a lot too. But I wouldn't classify either of them as "the greatest" though.

Hmm, I was probably late teens when I first saw T1. Strangely I watched T2 long before that, probably when I was 9 or 10 years old. My reaction to watching T1 was pretty much what you mentioned, that it's a little weathered, but also that it had nothing on T2.

Does anyone else remember the VHS edition of T2? It had a trailer for Basic Instinct on it, and also some T2 behind the scenes promo thing, and the kid who says "all right Arnold!". hah. I just remember my friend's dad had a copy of Basic Instinct and we grabbed it because we thought it looked awesome after seeing the trailer for it on the T2 tape. Anyways, we totally got busted watching it by his mom... and so we never got to see the goods. Years later I got around to renting it myself, and laughed at what I missed out on.

I liked T1 a lot, think T2 is great, and T3 is pretty good. That crane scene is pretty amazing...
