you know the drill, name off the movies!

something good youve watched recently, nothing in theaters.. something indie, or older that we might like.

I just watched Magnolia, Crash, and Traffic this week and thought they were all pretty good and worth seeing.

If you've never seen The Sting it's the best movie ever made. But don't go looking it up on imdb and spoiling it. Don't even look up who's in it, or what it's about. Just go rent it, and press play.

A Texan, Visiting Newfoundland, told a local about the size of his ranch. "I can drive my pickup for a day and a night, and still not leave my land."
"Oh yeah," said the Newfie "I used to have a truck like that."

I watched Suicide Circle a few weeks back. Delightfully cheesy, but really strange.

Man, saw Vantage Point in the theaters. The only reason I picked it was because it was playing in their fancy "digital theater" and I wanted to watch for the sound/video quality. But that shit was bad man. Just bad.

Also saw the other half of Grindhouse, Death Proof on demand, and that was boring as hell too.

We just got HBO On Demand and am watching Oz right now, that show is brutal.

"to kill a mockingbird" is a classic if you've never seen it. Makes you really feel like you are back during those times...

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, some say Snatch is Guy Ritchie rewriting the same script...I think they are both equally hilarious

Yeah, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels was really good too. Both shared similar actors and a similar story line twist style.

Persepolis was awesome, highly recomend it. It's an animated film based on Marjane Satrapi's autobiography. She is an artist who lived in Palestine during their revolts, and change to a muslim based government.

also, just watch Cool Hand Luke. do it.

I know they buried her body with others
Her sister and mother and 500 families
And will she remember me 50 years later?
I wished I could save her in some sort of time machine

I think you meant to say during the revolution in IRAN, not Palestine.
I still need to see this movie, i am looking forward to it.

If your talking moving pictures and not just a good flick, I recommend Gallipoli, Mel Gibson befoer he was well Mel Gibson. The story of the Aussies against the Turks in WW1. Proof they have always done their part.

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.

I know Juno was in theaters and all, but I saw that recently and thought it was decent.

I also saw a leak of Stargate SG1: The Ark of Truth... it was alright I guess... a little cheesier than the series.

Mmm, bacon.

Sunshine was a great recent sci-fi if you haven't seen it..

Human Traffic is a great flick about the drug and UK part scene in the 90's. Some good quotes:

The weekend has landed. All that exists now is clubs, drugs, pubs and parties. I've got 48 hours off from the world, man. I'm gonna blow steam out my head like a screaming kettle, I'm gonna talk cod shit to strangers all night, I'm gonna lose the plot on the dancefloor. The free radicals inside me are freakin', man! Tonight I'm Jip Travolta, I'm Peter Popper, I'm going to never-never land with my chosen family, man. We're gonna get more spaced out than Neil Armstrong ever did, anything could happen tonight, you know? This could be the best night of my life. I've got 73 quid in my back burner - I'm gonna wax the lot, man! The Milky Bars are on me! Yeah!

We wanna go somewhere else. We're not threatened by people anymore. All our insecurities have evaporated. We're in the clouds now. We're wide open. We're spacemen orbiting the earth. The world looks beautiful from here, man. We're nympholeptics, desiring for the unobtainable. We risk sanity for moments of temporary enlightenment. So many ideas. So little memory. The last thought killed by anticipation of the next. We embrace an overwhelming feeling of love. We flow in unison. We're together. I wish this was real. We want a universal level of togetherness, where we're comfortable with everyone. We're in rhythm. Part of a movement. A movement to escape. We wave goodbye. Ultimately, we just want to be
