How does everyone feel about this? Or is it even a feature?

I've seen this option in other forums where you can check it off as an option in your profile. So when you reply to a thread there is an indicator to show you that you have posted in that thread. I just find it's pretty handy for remembering which threads may have ongoing discussions in. I know I often forget if I've asked a question in a thread, and then remember than I did but can't remember which one, and I have to search my username.

I realize there is the "Notify me when a reply is posted" option, but checking my e-mail to see if someone had responed to a post or whatever seems kind of pointless when just checking the post itself takes about the same ammount of time.

That's what I'm saying. You wouldn't get e-mails saying someone replied. When your browsing the forums you would just see an icon next to the appropriate threads.

The threads with new replies since your last check of them have the little orange dot by them. Default scheme that is.

Yeah, but I think he's talking about something like the old boards. I always clicked the today tab on the right with the old forums and it showed me every thread I had posted in recently. Then I never had to skim the boards to find the threads I wanted to check back up on.

This is an option for forums that are on the brink of death. Seeing as Tweak3D is quite lively, it's un-needed.

Nidex has it right for us regulars, but for some one who is just posting here for help in Gen Computing it would be nice so they don't forget about their thread.

I just figured that if it was a possibility it could be a useful thing, the only negative effect being it's just another .gif to load (like 100bytes). But whatever.

i say yes, because even if you odnt use it, who is it hurtin. i mean someone might need it in the future, so why not just take the few minutes to add it and not worry about it anymore


btw I want my damn "mark all topics read" on the index page for all skins, its already on a few...

id use it
