as u know, i havent been on here lond as this user name. but i was many moons ago... (u still havent guessed)

anyway i just broke up with my gf of 2 yrs, which hurts hardcore. I know that everyone goes through this, But i am only 19, and we were going out for 1/10th of our lives. We shared everything together (and u know what this means) But yeah i just wanted to say this. We broke up because of the fact that we fought so much and that it never was a small one (she had a little bit of an anger problem)

same thing happened with me when i started college. my gf of almost 3 years went to school in chicago. i know what you're going through. sucks man. does she want to be friends still? my ex does but i just can't see her that way, probably because of the way i felt about her and how our break didn't go so great.

i've often thought about rx's question. i think in my case it was worth it, despite all the shit i went through and the cloud over my life for months after the break up.

i i definatly learned alot these past 2 yrs, i had never had a g/f of that length b4, and it was definatly worth it...

but the fighting and shit near the end, just became 2 hard when i was in school and i had to concentrate on midterms

I know what you mean..I broke up with my gf of 4 years (and i'm only 19). It sucks, but it was something I had to do. I don't know if I will go through with it again..I miss her, but sometimes I think it's for the best, but I'm still unsure.

I had one of two years I broke up with in high school, then one of two years who broke up with me when I was 19, that one was fucking another guy.

It gets better. And succubus, is right about the great life experience. All the hurt makes for great contrast in your life.

i went on and off with a girlfriend like that, except i'm the one with the anger problems, or so people think.

the first time we broke up i was fine for the first few weeks, then it hit me that i didn't have her anymore and i was pretty depressed. i started hanging out with different people, listening to different music that didn't remind me of her, etc. then it got better, until we got back together.

we went out for 6 months again until she told me she wasn't happy anymore. i asked her why, and it was all stupid stuff that girls get pissed over. she was too scared to even tell me this to my face, she text messaged it to me. so whatever, it bothered me a little at first.

then a few weeks went by and i was starting to get over it until she called me at like 2am to tell me she was thinking about me. then i got depressed again, so i sat down for a while and really thought about it. i came to the conclusion she's hurt me too many times to even worry about it anymore, that it wasn't worth it.

well, her ex-best friend really likes me I guess, and she found out about it so she called me just bitching her ass off. it was nice just to hang up on her and not worry about it. then she tried rubbing it in my face that she had a new boyfriend, and for once i honestly was able to say that i didn't care. she still acts immature and just tries starting shit, it feels good to know that i'm away from all the drama and bullshit now too.

i don't know why i kept rambling, but my advice to you is:

don't get back together with her, because it'll just turn out worse and hurt more in the end anyways. it might be hard at first, but time heals, spend time with the people that really care about you(friends, family) and you'll be fine.

oh, and the fact that she gave me $3000 for a turbo kit a few days before she broke up with me kinda helped me get over it.

I gave a guy money once after breaking it off with him. I felt bad, he had just paid his half of the rent and was broke so I gave him money to go out drinking. It sure as hell wasn't $3000, but it's the thought that counts.
