this might actually be the first OS i purchase, that is depengin on how much it will be. I like the look of it and hopefully it will preform well.

yea.. and since XP is a total success, if they improved, this windows will be a pretty nifty product.

I just hope it won't cost 500 fricken bucks

^ That too! But applications like Windows Media Player can always be uninstalled and replaced with 3rd party stuff.

I doubt it'll cost more than $200 for the Retail Upgrade or OEM...They've got the software assurance to worry about and also ME, 2k and XP all were $200 and under for the upgrade. Hell you can always buy the upgrade and use a previous OS CD and install the full version.
