Just looking over some of your stuff and the first thing that pops out in my mind is that you include the years you were at Fayetteville. Just include the month/year you received your degrees. I.E., "July 2002 - Associates Degree etc". In an interview, you are probably also going to have to explain why you have 3 different Associates Degrees and not a Bachelor's degree yet. Don't put UOP as an online university, just put it as the university.

Don't include the very first lab technician job,... that goes too far back and it is not really relevant to anything you would be applying for. If you have any sorts of numbers, statistics that would go with the things you have done that would be great. I.E. Created a new web page that services over 3000 people a day. or something, I don't know, just throwing out ideas.

The objective is a little wordy. You're going to have to change it for every single job you apply for. You're going to have to put "... seeking the Systems Administrator position ..." you know what I mean, let them know what job you want. You can reword it somehow to show that you have those skills yet are looking to manage/motivate others using your experience with those skills.

In all honesty, it looks like you have plenty of years of experience in the IT industry, but nobody has given you the "chance" at a manager or a more serious role. You should definitely hold out for one of those types of positions. A lot of companies will take your years of experience over some B.S. degree with no real world experience. You just have to find a way to market that experience and make a company comfortable and confident that they can take you on to be responsible for bigger projects. I hope this can be of some sort of encouragement.

1 last thing, i love the Professional Memberships, but I hate the "certificates" at the very bottom. It kind of seems, I don't know, unprofessional and lame. Like, I could just give you a certificate myself and call it a certificate. Is there somewhere you got them from that makes them any more special? Are they "true" certifications like from Microsoft or Cisco or something?

i don't know much about IT resumes, but my sister is a recruiter in a law firm and she helped me with mine. for starter's is this a CV (curriculum vitae)? cause when i copied and pasted it into my word, it was 3 pages. resumes are normally one. also, you should have your name, address, and phone number at the top centered. Also, for the years of work, if you include months for the start and end dates it would look better and give them a better idea of the time frame. normally on resumes you just include your past three jobs and like high school, college, etc for schooling.
just throwing some ideas out there for you that my sister helped me with, but like i said, i don't know IT resumes, as mine is theater oriented.
hope it helps

Agreed very much!

I remember when I was working for a law firm, they were doing campus recruiting and I was helping put some stuff together for it a few things stuck in my head:

1) If the resume was over 1 page long, it got tossed, plain and simple. I think it had something to do with showing you knew how to include the REAL IMPORTANT/RELEVANT info and "get to the damn point".

2) Last 3 jobs with month/year. They really don't care about your Taco Bell experiance when you where in HS.

3) Speaking of HS, only current/relevant degrees/education listed. They really don't care if you went to La' Friska's Latin School for Boys when you were in kindergarden.

Thats what I recall at least. Good luck!!!

P180B, E6600 @ 3.6, Evga 680i, Corsair DDR2-1066 Dominator (2*1GB), Evga 8800GTX @ 650/1000, X-Fi XM, WD Raptor 150GB, WD 2500KS, Plextor 755SA, Seasonic M12 700.

I'm seeing a lot of "with a concentration in", which says to me "I didn't actually get my certification." I would retitle the entire section or move it under "Education". Of if you actually have all of those certs I would re-word it to make it clearer.

And your experience and education seem to be all over the board. I would suggest grouping the software stuff together, the OS stuff together, etc. And it would also help to focus on what you really want to do and emphasize the experience and education stuff that best support your goal.
