I made a thread about this a few months ago but since I am leaving tomorrow, I wanted to make another one. I think a few people thought I already went and came back so hopefully this will help clear up some things...

Tomorrow I am leaving for Iran to visit my dad/family. Specifically I am going spend most of my time in Kish Islands:

I will be returning on July 7th so ill be gone for a hella long duration. Internet access should be no problem since there are a few internet cafes and my dads work should have a decent network connection (decent = a little faster then 56k).

One problem with Iran's internet is that they block so much shit like chinas firewall. I am sure some of the locals can get around this but in preperation i setup a VPN link I can VPN into my server and if that doesnt work, worse case scenario is I can use windows remote desktop which if works will be slow as balls.

Iran doesnt block t3d to my knowledge, our ISP was routed through Tehran with no issues.

have fun, and i still say you should stop by baghdad and drink some tea with us before you continue on :P
