So I've been at a special crew& cast presentation of 300 movie last night.

It was amaising!

We must have been easily 400 people in the room, everybody worked on the film from the stunt to the camera man, from the geek guys of the virtual studio to the small costume technician (thats me!!!)

This movie is really a hit... i dont wanna spoil anything so just go see it when it comes out this very friday.

At the end of the movie, everyone applaused, as if to say good job everybody. This movie is good thanks to us, Montrealers.

And then Gerard Butler barged in, all excited and happy, and told us how he loved working with us. He was on a promotional tour for the movie and took his day off to come and see the Montreal's crew. He told us how he tought that the producers and writers were mean not to come in Montreal for the release. He also told us that he beleived this movie would bring a lot of other movies in Montreal cause everybody knows it was filmed here.
I hope he is right. I hope its one of many others to come.

So go see it! and then tell me how you liked it!

wow, how i would love to have props... but everything was packed and shiped back to the studios...

but i do have pictures from the workshop!

we made tons of hats, shirts, belts ect for the principal fighters of the persian army.

im very proud of these, its the magicians trowing fire explosives, i worked hard on the masks.

this is an exemple of the painting we did. A lots of things in the movie that look like metal are actually leather with lots of work on it.

This is the airbrush team, they did the lights and shadows and dust on every cotume, and they did all the steps of degradation for the red capes. Some days, the air was foggy of airbrush paint. (not very good for the health tough)

i took these pics near the end of the work. So i dont have any pics of the sexy leather panties, or the sandals, or the capes, or of all the extra's costumes for the city scenes. But we will probalby see all that stuff in the special features of the movie....

I think the coolest part about this post is that quebec has more to offer than just some of the best strip joints in canada...

I had no idea that you were doing something like this. I love how you turned that leather wrist strap with the chain link on it from brand new to hundreds of years old, or battle scared. Some really neat work.
