I saw a mod on another forum where you could RATE threads - I think it'd be a cool addition. That way we can sort out the bullshit.

I dunno, just a suggestion I guess. We don't have much bullshit on here to begin with, but once again, just a suggestion/idea.

It's an interesting idea. I always look at post count. It's not always the case, but I often find the interesting threads get a lot of replies.

well it would be nice in the NSFW area if people would rate the penis threads low and the boob threads high

I just downloaded the mod and I'm looking into it. I work several days this week but I'll try to get it installed before Sunday.

I'm really considering upgrading to a different forum like either SMF or vBulletin, as every mod for phpBB is a total hack and a pain to install..

SMF is pretty cool, but I don't know how the community is. It seems like a rather small system. I installed it on my FreeBSD box ( http://thadood.ath.cx/ ) to see how it is. It seems pretty fluid. The admin section is nice, too.
vBulletin, however, is huge, and has tons of support. You'd do well with it.

If you can afford to pay for one, though, check out Invision. I love it.
