I need some good movies to rent, any ideas would be helpful.

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.

What sort of movies do you like? Casablanca and Citizen Kane are great b/w classics, The Indiana Jones trilogy is a must, everything that Stanley Kubric, Hitchcock, and Terry Gilliam directed. And I like Wes Anderson's movies too - Rushmore, Bottle Rocket, The Royal Tennenbaums, The Life Aquatic. And a personal favorite of mine are Clint Eastwood's sphaghetti westerns - Fist Full of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and (the best) The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

EDIT: Add This Is Spinal Tap and The Princess Bride. Rob Reiner is generally a good director. Best In Show and A Mighty Wind are good if you like the first two I mentioned.

Quentin Tarantino's stuff is nice. I've seen Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill (Vol. 1 & 2), Hero, but not Reservoir Dogs.
Wes Anderson's flicks are great! And anything with Bill Murray is always different.
If you're into ganster films (not "gangsta"), watch Sexy Beast, Confidence.
I'm a comedy kinda dude. Half Baked is good, but stay away from Screwed. Anything with Adam Sandler except Going Overboard. Likewise, anything with Jim Carrey except Earth Girls Are Easy.
Johnny Depp's movies: Edward Scissorhands, Donnie Brasco, Sleepy Hollow, Blow, From Hell, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Finding Neverland.
The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch.
Trainspotting.
Top Secret!
Collateral.
Clue.
Final Cut.
Constantine.
Team America: World Police.
Eddie Griffin's Disfunktional Family.
Pretty much everything with Ben Stiller.
I can't think of anything else. Well, Mike Myers' comedies....

The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn, Army of Darkness = Best Horror Trilogy Ever

American Graffiti, Dazed and Confused = Great Soundtrack Flicks

The Big Lewbowski = Hilarous, Stoner(ish?)

Freaked = Quirky, extremely unknown comedy

If you're Interested in TV On Dvd...you've got Firefly, The British Version (and original) The Office, The Lone Gunmen (Hilarious X-Files Spinoff)...all of which Grace my feeble collection...I also hear that Dead Like Me is a hoot of sorts
