Well at first glance that would be an easy fix for people that dont like them. But the problem is, if you dont see them and dont use them. Then what about everyone else that does see them. That's entirely true, which is why we're hoping people will use them.

Here are a few questions I'd like to see answered by those who dislike them so far.
1) Are the post icons too ugly?
2) Would the icons be better with more pictures and less text?
3) Are there too many/too few icons?
4) What about the colors of the icons? Too bright, clashing, etc?

1) Some of them are, particularly the bright colored ones
2) I Think they should be smaller, meaning not as wide
3) Too many different ones for our community

I would like an option to turn them off. They look good and I know you worked hard to implement this, but I just don't like clutter or bloat. I'm a minimalist and probably won't use them. It will be even more of an annoyance when people start using the wrong icons on purpose instead of just having wacky titles.

Maybe they will grow on me, who knows...

Yes, chapel set one up.

User CP -> Edit Options -> Show Post Icons

If you don't have them displayed, you can still choose one on your new threads so other users know what your thread is about.

Well of course we were going to add the option, we just were hoping people wouldnt want or need it. Its cool though, if you dont use a post icon we will change it for you.

For people who turn them off. What happens if they don't select an Icon? I will try to select one on my posts, but just wondering, since that can be rough on the mods. What about a default "I'm lazy" icon hehe.

If you dont select one, it automatically puts the one that has random on it. No worries, we spend more time at the forums than is humanly possible.
