I don't loan, nor ask people to loan to me. Money, videos, whatever. I've found that it often leads to hard feelings, and I was often surprised at who would try to stiff me. People I would never think would do that sort of thing.

I resist barrowing, and I don't barrow from family or friends at all costs. I never loan $ unless I can just give it.....you're more likely to not get it back that to have it paid back without asking or harrassing.

I borrow money from people on occasion, but I try not to. I never borrow shit to anyone because I never get it back

I have loaned the amount of money to a good friend to buy a car from me. In fact, he's now two months late (almost 3), and I'm still waiting. He just lost his job, and I told him to be sure and pay all other bills (rent, utilities, vital car payments, etc...) before mine. He swears he'll pay me up within the next few weeks, so I'm waiting patiently. It isn't like I really need the cash right now, and I could always just take the car back anytime. In fact, he's already offered it back to me. It was my 1966 Volkswagon dune buggy.
