Hahahaha...that's hilarious.

You know...if this was all approved before the whole "war on terrorism", and all that amazing intel on the WMDs in Iraq, America wouldn't have had to sacrifice so many soldiers.

/sarcasm

The only "preemption" using nukes will be during an active and ongoing exchange of WMD that can be halted with nukes. The standard for preemption is too high otherwise, nothing has changed.

And nuclear retaliation for terrorists/rouge nations is off the table, as previously discussed.

I find it funny this came out now after Iran said if they are brought in front of the UN about WMDS we would face serious consequences

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.

I guarantee that this will disuade some rogue nations from turning the other cheek when terror groups are operating on their soil. I'd love to see Mogadishu or Tehran under the cloud...

Actually that would be awful.

This is a step that is horendously scarey. Having lived through the nuclear threat of the 50's and 60's.........well, it's a mandate that was always there, but now it's in writing.

Say goodbye to our beloved planet. Because there is
alot more money to be made in emitting greenhouse
gasses, than curtailing emissions.

Get out of the box, then recycle it.

It's always loomed, and always will.

No biggie. It'd be a fast way to go, assuming you were within 20 miles of a blast zone.

And, it'd be a cool way to die.

Not many people can say that they were fucking NUKED when they get to the pearly gates... well... excluding the Japanese... but that's it.

That and it's also a dandy way to nullify large tracts of realestate for many generations to come.

Well, I don't think you have to say anything when you get to the Pearly Gates.

The people of Somalia are victims, dominated by warlords being manipulated by the outside world. Their story is heart wrenching. More people die by genocide there every year that we lose to all the Katrinas and 9/11s combined.

To a better Tweak3d.

Actually, in the event of a nuclear holocaust, the crowds at the gate would be so large that they'd have to herd them into the Heavendome until they were able to help them all.

30 nations have wmd's? These aren't the same type of wmd's iraq had are they

Ahhh, the evil US is at it again. Seriously, eliminate Israel and the US and the world would be at total peace. Pfft. We just need a globally published list of nations that we will absolutely launch a nuclear strike against should we be attacked with nuclear weapons ourselves. For instance, if Iran were to hit the US with a nuclear weapon, then we would fire nuclear weapons at Moscow perhaps. Likewise Japan could create such a list that would name China as the recipient of nuclear weapons should North Korea hit Japan with a nuke. Perhaps then, the higher-ups in both of those countries might work a bit harder to keep their despot flunkies in line.
