Online instock notification?

So my folks tried to get me a Wii for X-mas, but were unable to locate one. As such I ended up with 3 $100 AmEx gift cards and a card that said "go get one".

Now I have HEARD of some sites that do pretty good at letting you know when certain products are instock in your area but have no experiance with them, so ....

Anyone have any experiance with these and which one should I use ... or more simply ... what is my best bet to get ahold of a Wii in the next few days?

Ask a store when shipment comes in and go when they open?

any friends work at a store? They'd be likely to help. It shouldn't be too hard. my moms friend came across a PS3 the other day even.

Amazon has done well in availability notifications for me. although, nothing I've waited on was anywhere as wanted as a Wii or PS3.

Just ask someone at a Toys R Us near you when their shipments usually come in. Actually, ask about 3 of them to see if they all say the same. Toys R Us is supposed to get the most units then all the other stores since they partnered w/ Nintendo or something.

Cool resource Pufferfish. There are a total of 20 units shipping to my area of a60 mile radius on 12/31, between 4 stores (walmart and target)....big wow, as if that's going to be enough.
