In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda's attacks because of its own terrorism.

"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.

"We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost," he told his congregation.

Yes, one pastor in HUGE church. hes not even affiliated with his campaign. Not that it matters but Oprah is a member of that church. but its all in how the media reports it.

Except that this guy is his spiritual mentor (or was till now), married Obama and his wife, baptized his children...it's not just some random Obama supporter spouting off.

Edit: I also found a pastor supporting McCain who wants a crusade on Islam...ugh, if this is all we have to choose from we're all in trouble.

We're in trouble regardless. And I don't know why the guy that baptized your children and who handled your marriage is allowed to speak for you. "Spiritual mentor" = priest. I doubt Obama and the guy hang out and pray together for 3 hours each day or something.

But anyway, that's what I was saying above. There's so much press right now about the different candidates' friends and supporters saying bad shit. It's just a clusterfuck of sidetracking information. You may as well just throw all that stuff out the window because there's a mountain of it for each of them.

It's one thing if it is "a" pastor supporting a candidate, but when it is "the" pastor of a candidate then I think it is a bit more of a concern.

Obama probably should've distanced from this guy publicly a while back, but what he preaches is pretty true here. Preach on, brother! Fight the man.

He doesn't seem anything like Obama though. I couldn't imagine Obama being in that audience cheering him on, but I imagine his "street side" comes out sometimes.

You can't be the "uniter" or whatever cliche the Obama sloganeers want to come up with and keep this guy close. Get away from him as fast as possible.

So why haven't we heard about McCains pastor? I saw them talking about Obamas on the news today. It's just another "hes a muslim and wants to destroy america!!!" ploy as far as I can tell.

First off, that is the whitest looking black man I've seen in a while.

Second, as to the OP, it's not like he's lying or exaggerating things. America's neo-colonialism and forced influenced did set the ground work for Fundamental Islam to attack America.

(Although anyone that tears down Hillary is quite alright in my book. )
