I don't think it's old news if it was just aired on CNN last night.

Waits for the funny damage control. I've thought this stuff should have been played up in the media a long time ago.

I'd like to head off the spin and damage control folks with two questions before they get started:

1) Is Ayers at the very least a former domestic terrorist?
2) Was Obama affiliated with him?

Personally I think the answer to both questions is "yes", at which point I would ask a third:

3) Do you want the next president of the United States to be associated with a domestic terrorist?

Ayres and Keating. This is why I'm afraid to watch the debate tonight. It could get ugly!

If Barak and Ayres were meeting on issues about the Watchmen (a KINKY terrorist organization, where the women basically acted like dominatrixes to the men's submissives), then this would be an issue. Till then, I'll give the benefit of the doubt to anyone who claims they didn't know that the education activist was a terrorist when anyone was 7 years old, and didn't know about his unapologetic support of sleazeball ideas. For Obama, Rev White is the one he has some explaining to do about.

Things should be clearer after the Annenberg Challenge records are unsealed.

Ayers hosted political events for Obama, that Obama attended. So we're back to questions 1 & 2 above. Feel free to take your time as you answer.

There really is no denying that the answer to both questions is "yes". So how then do you answer 3 without looking like a complete retard?

Obama announced his run for The Senate from Ayers' living room. And in 2001 Ayers is quoted as saying "I don't regret setting bombs" and "I feel we didn't do enough", and, when asked if he would "do it all again" as saying "I don't want to discount the possibility."

But Obama had no idea who this mutt was?

Your "Yes/No" answer is to a version of a "have you beat your wife today" style questions!

I don't care how much political hosting someone does for a fellow education activist, if the fellow education activist didn't know you feel good about your roll in bombing, when the fellow activist was a 7 year old boy. I have no doubt I'd be surprised at what some of my old highschool friends were doing at the time I knew them. At least one went to jail for murder, and he was quite a charming fellow when I knew him.

That's a ridiculous argument. For one, Ayers still to this day feels good about the bombing...........not just when Obama was 7. Knowing people BEFORE they committed an atrocity isn't even remotely the same thing. Knowing Dahmer, Manson, Hussein, Bin Laden or, Hitler before they became famous for being heinous individuals is different. However befriending them AFTER those criminal acts and, those people showing no remorse for those acts is the main difference. Obama is either oblivious to the people around him or a liar. Neither quality is looked highly upon for the role of Commander in Chief.

I doubt he went around saying this to fellow foundation members. There are close friends of yours, and of mine, who probably have pasts that we know not of, and they might be rather public pasts, but being friends, we don't go out and vet them with background checks now, do we? Look through papers for mentions of their names? If we do read something, we say, "that name is just like my friend's name!", rather than "wow! my friend is a total creep!" It's not a ridiculous argument.

And I still think that Obama has more to explain about with Rev. Wright. I don't believe for a second that he slept through all those sermons!

If Obama didn't know about all of the national attention that Ayers received for 25 bombings, then he is more of a nitwit than the media makes Palin out to be. If any of my friends do have a sorted past, I KNOW with absolute certainty that it didn't involve bombing The Pentagon or a Police Officer Memorial. Speak for yourself on that issue.

You appear to be insinuating that Obama isn't being entirely truthful about this issue or is holding something back. Why is it so hard for you believe that Obama HAD to know about Ayers past. Even if he didn't initially know, someone in his group of friends or allies at the very least would have told him man. C'mon?

So everybody is going to puss out on the 3 questions? Really the debate was over before it began anyway. I'd post a graphic or try to change the subject too if I were faced with such a predicament.

Why wasn't this Ayers fellow put in jail? I don't know anything about him.

I'm trying to evolve.

1) Is Ayers at the very least a former domestic terrorist? Yes of course

2) Was Obama affiliated with him? Yes it's a proven fact

Every one has some thing to hide. For what ever reason. Every one lies for what ever reason. No one can ever understand or know some one 100 percent ever. Alot of people go there whole life not knowing what kind of double life there wife or friends are living or people they have close ties with.

Now weren't they working together for a good cause? I don't know about you, but if I had the opportunity to work on something I believed in and a former terrorist was also contributing to the cause, I wouldn't get up and leave. Obama was against his acts anyways, so I don't see what the big deal is.
