Yeah so im thinking about renting movies from netflix. The 17.99 plan sounds great however I was wondering if anyone here uses netflix and how long it takes for them to get the movies back after I <s>burn</s> watch them? On average how many movies can you get per month If I send all 3 back at the same time.

Also has anyone ever had any problems with them? such as scratched discs, hidden fees etc.

Torrent? If you're going to pirate you can easily do it from the comfort of your desk...

Im not a pirate. I only see piracy a crime if you try to make money off of it, and not use it for your own personal use.

I pirate media all of the time, but I acknowledge that it's a crime. It's just not a crime that I feel bad about it...

Meh it's a crime so what im sure the cops have better things to do with their time then to bust people for making a copy of a movie. I would use torrents but dvd shrink makes a perfect copy of any dvd

There are advantages to renting movies and ripping them. You can finely control the level of quality you want, and don't have to worry about your ISP ratting you out to the MPAA. But it's not free, and it takes time and CPU cycles to rip (time = mo' money). I dunno, I currently do a combination of both downloading and ripping. If I can find it on torrent I grab it. If I can't I rent it.

OK, thread hijack over. I've never used Netflix. But I know Blockbuster has a "rent all you want" program that sounds better to me.

The Blockbusters around here suck, they don't do that rent all you want program, or have the keep it if you like it program. The owner is a douche but there is nothing close by to rent movies from.

I have the netflix 3 at a time plan.... It's been pretty good so far -- I really can't say how many I get in a months time, but id probably say its a good 15 movies, possible more, depending if im good with ripping movies the day i get it, and sending em out the next day....

the only problems ive ever had were, the first set of movies i got, they lost 2 of the movies, but netflix set out another 2 as soon as i reported it -- one of the movies that were lost came like a week later... also, ive only had one scratched disc, but that wasnt too big of a problem

I have the 3 movie at a time deal with Blockbuster and I love it.

I don't burn the dvds, I just watch them so i see about 5-7 movies a month. I've never had a damaged disc, and all the shipping dates are on time.

Also with Blockbuster, I get 2 free in store rentals monthly which can be used towards either games or movies. So I get games with the coupons and movies online.

I'd highly reccomend getting the Blockbuster account if you wish to rent games at all.

in a week i get 12 movies, i've had a few cracked/scratched but they're pretty good. it takes 1 day in the mail, but they're sent from milwaukee, depends on your area
