We are against it right? So that would mean we want the bill to fail correct?

We WANT net neutrality. We do want the bill to fail. If it doesn't fail, large corporations will be the ones throttling the bandwidth on web traffic everywhere.

No, you'd want net neutrality to pass. You want tiered internet to fail. Or at least most members on this site do.

It's too confusing, the way the shit is written. Standard mumbo jumbo to hide the real intent of the legislation from the general public....standard operating proceedure for government. You wonder why/how some of these laws that are harmfull/dissadvantageous to citizens and good for big business/government come into being? Watch and learn.

Say goodbye to our beloved planet. Because there is
alot more money to be made in emitting greenhouse
gasses, than curtailing emissions.

Get out of the box, then recycle it.

Ok so we DO want net neutrality and we DO want it to pass?

According to this article: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1980760,00.asp

This senator wants the same thing we do but he doesn't want the bill to even be considered because nobody knows what it is.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the simplest way to explain was that net neutrality maintains the principle of equality in the internet, something that is the internet's greatest asset.

I'm on drugs.

The way I look at it, we're reamed, whether the bill passes or not, because the law is as bad (with all the amendments dropped into it) as the problem it purports to fix. The true savior of the internet would be true competition with many providers, but cable and telecom companies have signed contracts of "first refusal" in most areas, so that new providers get squashed with a simple "no".
