Well, seeing as sprint has pushed back the 6800 to either oct or some unannounced date this summer.. i decided to go ahead and buy the ppc6700 from someone on ebay to hold me over. For $400 this is what i got..

- ppc-6700 great condition
- all oem accessories, cradle, car charger, 2 stylus, 1350mah battery
- seidio car kit(thinkin about sellin)
- 2400mah extended battery(thinkin about sellin)
- seidio sirf3 gps reciever
- iguidance 3
- leather and plastic holster

i think dude hooked me up...

So as soon as i got it, i updated to the latest sprint aku2 rom... played with it a little to get used to it... then updated to a custom rom aku3.5 which, as of now, is as close to wm6 as i'll get with builtin tweaks and removed junk (kirvin's no junk 3.5 if anyones interested). Bought and installed iLauncher and pocketweather, got google maps and live search setup with my gps, havent isntalled iguidance yet to test out.. The only thing lacking from GM and live search is theres no voice guidance.. Ive tested and installed Novii remote, it sent signals to all my devices from 10-11ft away but not my tv and you have to point it precisely.. so i uninstalled that, might try some others. Pocketnester is fast and precise but for some reason doesnt respond well to button press-and-hold..

if anyones got a pocketpc or similar tell us about it and your fav software!

What bf?

Oh - and I was going to mention the GPS mapping - I use to have a pocket pc - it wasn't a phone, however. (sold it because I spent more time using it to GET organized than I did actually BEING organized)

Anyway - I had 802.11b wifi and would use the GPS mapping software to plot my hotspots. Of course this was like...4 yrs ago so I don't remember the name of the software exactly. I think I would get more use out of a pocketpc phone - maybe I'll buy one. I kind of miss it - just hated typing/writing witha stylis all the time, does yours have a kb on it?

did someone say iphone? pfft.. we got that too!
themes baby, we can rid of the taskbars for an even cleaner look, not to mention we gots broadband!! iphone has no. hahaha!

size isnt too bad, i was expecting a brick but its not as bad as it looks

ive had vision all along, but i had it swapped to power vision which is the same price but is broadband unlimited.. when im at home i use the wifi if im laying in bed about to goto sleep, the gps is completely free as im using an external reciever via bluetooth. Now if i wanted to use the builtin gps i'd have to pay a monthly fee by using one of sprints gps software (bleh). Unfortunatly HTC cripples the phone to where you cant access the builtin gps yourself as per sprints demand.

I've got a nice little Axim 51v. It has Windows Mobile 5 on it. I mainly use it to keep track of my mileage when I'm doing calls, and my appointments and stuff.

I had Skype installed on it, but it only does computer-to-computer calls. Oh well.

It also makes a nice little dandy MP3 player. Have a 2GB SD Card. It makes my 7 hour business drives bareable.
