Speaking of remote control Hummers...

Four years ago I worked at Radio Shack over the Christmas break. It sucked, but I got a few decent stories out of it.

One night a coworker and myself are hanging out behind the little counter when in walks a couple of mid-20 somethings dressed up like they were about to go out. Both had on short skirts, cleavage revealing tops and high heels. Now there's noone else in the store except for a guy who has to be mid-50s, all of 5'6" and has these huge coke-bottle glasses.

If you've ever been into a RadioShack around Christmas you know they push RC cars like they're going out of style. These girls wander around the store and start asking about things around the store, whether or not we think that their boyfriends would like them.

"Do you think he'd like a radar gun?"

"No, you should definitely get him the new digital police scanner so he can he the cops all over town."

They go back and forth over almost everything in the store for about 15 minutes until they slowly circle back to the giant display of RC trucks, most of which happened to be RC H2s...

The taller of the two turn to us and asks if we think her boyfriend would like a hummer. Before we had a chance to respond the old guy that had been wandering the store for micro-electronics quips:

"I don't know about your boyfriend, but I would love a hummer."

Up until this point we'd been able to keep it in but as soon as he opened his both we both lost it, though surprisingly we were able to make the sale and tack on some batteries.
