Awesome 950... Makes me miss having the money to do road trips

The last road trip was way up north... took a bunch of side roads through the mountians and stuff... total the trip was only about 2500km there and back and we covered it in roughly 11 hours of total driving, maybe less.

The rest of the time was spent visiting with friends who then took us to some lame native festival thing... so we left and drove farther up north through more mountians and then back down through the canyon where all the forest fires were burning!

I'm sad now

if I had known you were coming through Chicago I would have invited you to see where I spend 8 hours a day.

I could have gotten even more lost than I already did trying to find it! Eh, I didn't have time for any extra stops though...
not even for a beer?

I just used old fashion paper maps Most of the navigation was very easy, I was on I90 for a great deal of the trip, pretty much from Seattle to Syracuse New York. I got off if when I took 94 through N. Dakota, to get into Madison, WI, getting lost in Chi-town, heading to and from meeting MSP in southern Ohio and finally to go north in NY to my school.

how many pit stops in all did it take and did you have food wiht you? assuming from the styrofone box.
How many times did I stop over the whole week? Uhhh, 57! I have no idea... I stopped for gas, to take a leak, eat, whatever. I slept in the car the first three nights, then at my friends in Madison, a hotel in Indiana, and at Shawnee with MSP.

As for food, it was a mixture of eating what I brought, eating out and starving myself

I'm really surprised with the clarity of some of the pictures I took through the windshield... if you think that looks nice, you should come see the mountians in Washington.

my longest road trip was from cape coral fl to sedona az and back 5,200 miles took me 36 hours each way with getting almost no sleep besides inbetween
That is a pretty good distance, what were you doing in AZ?
I'm really thinking about taking a road trip to washington ive always wanted to do it. main problem would be getting someone to go with me

i was in AZ for about month staying in sedona. while i was there i did alot of hiking in the red rocks and i went down to the grand canyon. my friend and me hiked the grand canyon in about 11 hours. 3 hours down 8 hours up. i wish we would have taken our time and enjoyed the sites more.

If you guys haven't been to western washington before, you really should go. And while you're at it, come up to BC as well.

950, a good trip for you would be Seattle to Prince George, I've heard it's just amazing and you'll see a lot more sights and some cool historic stuff

that looks awesome man, glad you had fun, you gotta come up north and visit us Canucks one of these days

I haven’t been on a road trip in ages, I use to go with my family all the time, up to Minneapolis or Edmonton, then we started flying everywhere, and then eventually got a cottage and stopped taking trips all together :/ now I’m missing it.

You’ve actually got me rethinking my plans now, in the next few months I’ll be having a car delivered to BC for me and I was going to have it brought back to Winnipeg by freight because it will probably be the same cost, if not cheaper then going myself, but now I’m thinking of grabing a few friends and just flying there and driving it back, the mountain roads would be fun

I just got the totals:

For 3306 miles, I got 20.9MPG average, I bought 158.17 gallons of gas, at an average price of $2.28/gal, for a total of $361.62.

That milage is interesting, because it is spec'd at only 19 MPG hiway, I was getting almost 21, and that was with a few hundred pounds of weight, and going above 75 MPH much of the time.
