So before i go to the Coast Guard i want to get a good MP3/Video Player and i need some suggestions heres what im looking for.

Required:
MP3
Xvid (Xvid covers divid too, right)
40+ Gigs (60+ preferably)
Not Ipod

Optional:
Memmory Cards (so i can save my movies on them)
Secondary "travel" mp3 player

Right now im looking at the this but it doesn't support memmory cards and the storage is a bit small

I make myself laugh.

Wait, where would be a good place to look, I tried newegg and amazon. And are there any sites dedicated to video/MP3 player reviews

I make myself laugh.

I was looking at the Cowon/Jet Audio (same company) stuff on newegg. Most of their players (minus the one linked) support FLAC OGG WMA MP3 and AAC, its nuts.

I have no actual experience with their products unfortunately, so I can't comment on that.

Being a brand I've never heard of I can't say I have a warm and fuzzy feeling about them...

I've bought my last two MP3 players from them, they're excellent.

So how much is the Cowon A2? Being able to play Xvid and Divx is pretty impressive to me.

Jet Audio's stuff on Newegg

I can't seem to find the Cowon players on Newegg, which is odd seeing as Jet audio is just rebranded Cowon. After some more searching, I can't even find Cowon branded products for sale.

Wedge, where did you buy your Cowon branded stuff?(or was it Jet Audio branded?)

I got mine from www.mp3players.co.uk, which have them branded as Cowon. The last one I bought is actually shown on that page you linked with the JetAudio brand (the 1GB iAudio 5 down at the bottom).

It links to the MUSTEK PVR-H140 heres the mustek site here

Ok, i googled it and apparently it uses a internal format for playing movies and it took them 2 hours to convert a 15min clip and it was jerky and had artifacts.

I make myself laugh.
