so i take my laptop in to get the dvd/cdrw replaced...it died. good thing i got the 4 year extended warrenty right? so they send it off to madison to get fixed. a week later i get a letter saying "adam, i replaced your cdrw/dvd drive. your windows installation is currupted and there are viruses on your computer. please call me 555-1234. tech col. gary" ok so i call him. of coars he didnt give me his extenstion so i have to sit on hold. ooh sorry tech guys only work 8-4. i gave her my number and told her tohave him call me. called me once. while i'm working of coarse. so this goes on for about 2 weeks. finally i went to the store and told them to just send it back i dont want them to fix anything else. the send it back i get a message "your laptop is ready to be picked up, there is a balance of 62.99" so i go and try to pick it up. the mother fucker saved my documents and restored the computer.

i'm pissed

i really dont care about the data, there wasnt anything really important on there. but i'm going to bitch about it anyways just to be a prick because they're trying to charge me for something i didnt want done. and im' going to demand free shit or i'm going elsewhere in the future and the 2 grand i'm about to spend on furnature.

You never requested the service, you shouldn't have to pay for it. That guy is just trying to make an easy buck, don't pay the $62.99.

Did you sign anything authorizing any and all work?
If not then the can't charge you for the service without your authorization.

Did you pay them already? I'm assuming you did since you have the PC back...

If you used a credit card to pay you might be able to dispute the charge.

i went to the store last night to bitch, it didnt help that the supervisor was pretty hot and had a nice rack. funny how my gf pointed that out to me before i said anything.
