I'm going to Mexico on Saturday for a tour across the country that I will be receiving college credit for. We have to read some books, write some reports (20+ pages!) keep journals, etc, but it should be fun.

I found a picture on google image search that shows exactly what I will be doing.

Seriously though, I'm going to visit a lot of the ancient aztec cities, ruins and pyramids etc. I'll take my camera definitely.

Make sure you don't wear the wrong colors if your checking out a soccer game, or you may end up killed.

All I see is a black hole, and sooner or later they’re going to suck each one of us into it. But when they come for me, I'm going to take as many of them with me as I can.

If you go to Mexico City be sure to visit Teotihuacan (Incan), and if you get to the Yucatan be sure to see Chichen-Itza and Palenque (Mayan). And also make sure to see the pink elephants (tequila).

Were the maids hot and were they their toothbrushes?

I make myself laugh.

Ive been all over Mexico. I stayed in Mexico city for two weeks one summer and in San Luis Potosi the next.

I have some pictures somewhere but they arent digital and I dont have a scanner.

Dont eat pizza unless its from a recognizable AMERICAN franchise. You will have the runs for a month after you leave Mexico.

Amazingly I've never been to Mexico. It was in the works for Christmas break, but didn't happen and we ended up in Alaska as you may remember. I'll have to go some other time, maybe this summer?

Sounds like a great time, enjoy it. How long is it for?

I'll be gone until the 17th. Should be a good time, I'm with a good group of friends and my spanish professor who is very awesome.

There's the cliche, "Dont drink the water". But remember ice is made of water, so ice in drinks will give u the runs, too. Learned that from my teacher who was a physical therapist for the US Soccer Team.

Shut your mouth and think it out.

I'd love to see the southern part of the country. there's some diving locations I'd like to visit also. Have fun and , by all means, get them pix.

Enjoy it. Perhaps one more ord of caution (albeit obvious): Don't eat from the $1 street taco stands.. You don't want to know where meat came from (or when did the tortillas expired for that matter).
Besides that, have a blast. Mexico is amazing and the DF (Mexico City) has a lot of places to visit; like "Plaza de las tres culturas" (The square from the 3 cultures...don't remember where it was) where there are the ruins of a Mayan temple sorrounding a church (which was built with the same Mayan temple stones) and sorrounding the park you have some government buildings. It doesn't sound too impresive, but think of the hitory and meaning of each building and you'll get it.
The Zoo is also a must go, is freakingly amazing!!

In any case, have a good time!

Be careful eating fruits and veggies too, as they are rinsed in the water. I learned this the hard way by eating a salad in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) and had the most violent ass squirts you can imagine for two weeks! I actually went scuba diving with them and had to pinch my ass cheeks for about 40 minutes at a depth of 60 ft... The really funny thing is that I had a broken foot too.

Major ass squirts + wetsuit + 2 atmospheres = a challenging dive for sure.

if my parents' music has taught me anything about music, it's this:

I guess he's implying that you drink bottled water, and avoid ice at all costs...

But just to be safe you should drink liquids that can't sustain bacterium. Bacteria can't survive in alcohol, right?

Have fun, man.

oh, and excellent diagram of your trip.

Hell yeah, the zoo kicked ass, as did the pathway to the zoo. It was like Venice x 10
