Talk about leveraging the whole Clinton debacle!

Quote:
Sen. John McCain has chosen Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his vice-presidential candidate on the Republican ticket for the White House, CNN has learned. The 44-year-old Palin, now in her first term as governor, is a pioneering figure in Alaska, the first woman and the youngest person to hold the state's top political job.
Minnesota governor told he isn't McCain's VP pick, sources say - CNN.com

Ha! Two minutes quicker on the draw! Sorry about that...

But yeah, this pick isn't about her experience at all. She has the necessary equipment to strip away a lot of Clinton supporters, and by equipment I mean vagina. My wife was on the bubble between McCain and Obama and I guarantee this will be decisive for her.

dammit i just posted on the other one!

Shes a women, shes a strong conservative, she will attract women voters. She hunts, fishes, and goes camping shes a good choice in my opinion, or at least a really big gamble. She will attract the swing vote which in this election is women, an plus McCain is not as conservative as some would like so shes very conservative and will attract more of those voters.

I have such an erection right now. Obama's speech was nice and all, but now I'm sold on McCain. I guess since Ron Paul is out of contention, McCain/Palin '08!

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

This reminds me of 1984 when Walter Mondale chose Geraldine Ferraro as his running mate.

Quoted so we can tease you in November. I can't wait to see the polls following this announcement.

Know how to stop a whole field of Alaskan oil field workers? Put Palin on tv like she is now with 30 people watching it in the break room during working hours.

I love how voting works. Don't make it about the issues, lets just focus entirely on race, gender, and popularity. We're just picking the leader of our country, it's not like it's an important position, right?

Is it just me, or are Obama-Biden and McCain-Palin now mirror images of each other, in terms of age and experience?

No doubt. A woman or man of color was the logical choice for McCain's VP. Personally I'd love to be a fly on the wall of Hillary Clinton's office. I bet she is pissed beyond belief.

I wonder how all of the ex-Hillary supporters will respond. Sure, their instinct might be to support another woman because she's a woman, but doesn't she have different stances than Clinton on almost every issue? Maybe they'll just mute their TVs when Clinton comes on the TV telling them to vote for Obama.

Edit - I wonder if Biden's aggressive debating will be a turn-off for supporters. He'll look like a bully if Palin can't defend herself or positions.

I'm Tweak3D's self-appointed mayor.

I don't know much about Palin, but she doesn't look/sound like she'd handle that too well. She reminds me of Peggy Hill (King of the Hill) or something, not an authority figure like Hillary.

Do some research on her if you think that.

I have full confidence in her but sadly I dont in Mccain.
