Is it just me or do we have some redundant forums?

OK, we have...

Tweak3dForums -> News -> Deals
Tweak3dForums -> The Tweak Market
Tweak3dForums -> The Tweak Market -> Deals Dump

Is that it? Frankly they confuse the hell out of me. I can see two perhaps - one for trading and the other to announce store / website deals, but three or more? And I think we need to have them both in the same place.

yes... I think the shb forums are way too much for the traffic we have right now.

Well there's the traffic thing, but I really think two of them are virtually identical! Deals and Deals Dump need to be combined as a subforum of Tweak Market.

We're rearranging most of the forums in these next couple week to eliminate some of the redundant stuff. When we had the feed (Deals part of the news) in the same forum, people complained because it hid user deals, so we separated them.

For now I removed the deals subforum since users aren't using it much anyway. We'll add post icons for "For sale", "Wanted to Buy" and "Deal!" or something later.

Does it really matter?

Its never bothered me or hindered my tweak3d experience.

I agree. I've always said there are alot of forums the need to go away. The subforums are really annoying and there isn't enough people that post here that would make them necessary.

Well we cant just get rid of all the low traffic forums. In this case, there obviously was a redundancy issue. In others, subforums play a specific role and can be nice. The biggest issue I have, and I think other people have with subforums is that in the forum index, they arent as easy to navigate or see.

Instead of complaining that there are too many forums for the amount of people posting here, why not contribute to the community by bringing more people here to flesh out the forums? Novel idea there!

Yeah, most of the other subforums make sense to me. It was just this case that seemed obviously redundant.

I never could understand the tweakmarket for that reason...I was like, "wth, whatever" And just checked them all. No biggy.

No one looks at what Monkey News posts... usually its 3 or so people. I think he needs a new job :P
