I was taking the stairs in my building and there was a bag of books sitting
there, and then I was in the staircase again about 4 hours later and they were still there.
So I snatched em up. I'm thinking someone ditched them
there when they moved out. I mean who really uses the stairs on the
17th floor

So who has read what? or ???

Some of this stuff is obviously crap

You can tell your girlfriend thats what you did tonight, take pictures of books that you found.

Heh... Jokes..

I havent heard of any of those books, but obviously I am not the reader type. If any of them interests me, its gotta be that doomsday book.

Hmmm... most of that looks like crap to me too, but I won't say for sure that it is all crap because I've read little to none of what is there.

The John Grisham one is probably really good though. I've read a few of his books and I really like his writing and how intriguing his stories usually are. So if that pile of books were in front of me, I would without a doubt grab "A Time to Kill" to start with.

I do recognize quite a few of the other authors that are up there, but can't say offhand if their stuff is any good. Except for the Jackie Collins books, I can say for sure that I think her stuff SUCKS... imho. :P

Tom Clancy - Without Remorse = The BEST Tom Clancy book evar! It's basically about where his character John Clark comes from. I've read it like three times. Awesome book.

Jeffrey Archer - Kane and Abel = Also an awesome book. The back of it gives you a pretty good rundown on the story. Definitely a worthy read.

Nah, but a close 2nd to Red Storm Rising. Everybody likes a book about WW3.

I would go with The Hunger or Erma Bombeck - I Lost Everything.

The Robin Cook one could be good. I have read some other books by him and liked them. He is/was a physician so most of his plots revolve around biological disasters and involve characters in the medical fields. Wikipedia has a neat quote about him.

Quote:
Michael Crichton directed the film Coma, adapted from a Robin Cook novel, and there are other similarities in terms of genre and the fact that both Cook and Crichton are physicians, are of similar age and write about similar subjects.

Ooooohhh, I didn't even notice "Along came a spider" in there.... James Patterson rocks. I have a few of his books and have enjoyed every one of them.

Tom Wolfe and Ernest Hemingway are probably the best authors of the bunch.
