The easier and quicker thing to do would be to impeach this whole administration and kick them out of office.

As a direct result of the lack of attention to matters here at home, namely banking and market oversight, and the cost of living going up 10 times faster than wages have, my income went from (Q1-Q2) $25,000 in '07 to (Q1-Q2)$7800 in '08. At the same time, fuel has gone from $2.89/gal to 4.29/gal. Food has increased 25%. Other neccessities have also risen 20%. Many of the jobs I did last year are outsourced to illegals making 7 bux an hour in my home town and prospects are looking even worse.
Whether our intent is pure (I highly doubt that) in the middle east, or not. We need to fix ourselves right now, not after procuring resources that are dwindleing and only going to be the catalyst for more conflicts. But what the hell, nobody is going to pay any attention to what I say. The economic crap hasn't hit thier fan yet. Mark my words, it will. By then, it'll be too late.

Look at how long it took just to decide if we could impeach Clinton. If they had decided to impeach him, they still would have had the battle of actually kicking him out. Well I can't GUARANTEE it would happen but yes, I believe if the current administration was removed we would be attacked. Everything goes to shit during a change of administrations as far as communications, infrastructure, chain of command, intelligence priorities and such. It would be a perfect time to hit us. I disagree, communication was not the issue, it was well communicated that we were going to be attacked, the issue was how to respond to it and that decision fell squarely on this administration and the people it appointed in various areas.

When you have the commander of the largest army in the world actively and openly calling for a possible attack against your country you tend to get defensive, being defensive causes the opposition to then step up their rhetoric and causes those that oppose it to step of their rhetoric. All of which leads to instability.

So yes I think I can guarantee that there would be more stability throughout the world.



(The key word I left out of my original post was "more", because there will always be instability somewhere in the world, it's the degree of stability that I am referring to).

I'm going to just have to go ahead and disagree with you yet again and stand by my original point. When a new administration comes in to play everyone practically is replaced. The entire White Staff and counsel, The Joint Chiefs, the heads of various agencies such as FEMA, DOHS, CIA, FBI, NSA, DOD......etc. All of these new people have agendas and not all coincide with the President. It's all new politics and red tape. Did you read about what's been going on in Pakistan? Bush has been hunting for Bin Laden for 7 years and now an article comes out stating that the afore mentioned agencies still can't or won't work together in trying to find him? You honestly think that Obama or Mccain will make a difference?

People such as yourself, so blinded by hate for President Bush for whatever reason of the day, don't understand or wont acknowledge that this war has been going well. A necessary war in fact and even more necessary to the security of our country in 09 because of the new Al-Qaeda infrastructure that's taken a strong foothold in Pakistan.

I hope for everyones sake we aren't hit again in 09. It's been 2,485 since we were attacked here at home. That is saying a lot. I unfortunately am a realist and fear that we will be hit no matter who The New Commander In Chief is. Pakistan and Iran have me very much worried right now.

If the U.S. or U.N. backed forces intervene, make military incursions or invade Iran it will be political suicide or state sponsored terrorism and will actually make the muslim extremist job of de-stabilising the 'west' even easier. It will give the the extremists far more ammunition to consolidate their anti west views within western society.

Iran is supposedly backing 'hezbollah' in the Lebanon, alledgedly providing the means for 'jihadists' to enter Iraq and supposedly supplying ied's / roadside bombs to the 'Taliban'. Of course all of these are denied by Iran, but, if she can keep countries around her de-stabilised it helps her to become stronger both economically and militarily.

After the debacle surrounding 'wmd's' in Iraq a better way of confirming assessing nuclear capability needs to be found.

It might be time to re-assess our aims and goals in Iraq and Afghanistan before attempting to manipulate another muslim state.

Unfortunately Pakistan has and probably always will have an unstable government; stuck between other countries foreign policy and their own extremist organisations. Afghanistan helps Pakistan because they can let the fanatics go and cause chaos in another country other than there own

Remember that we in the west have alleigances to our own country 1st and then others. muslim extremists try to use the idea of brother muslims being oppressed by the west and nullify the alleigance to the country.

This is the problem we face in the U.K. The muslim population identifying with the supposedly oppressed muslims in other muslim countries. We as a country need to find a way to change this.

The last numbers I saw were that we were at 6% unemployment. That's pretty damn good for a country that's in "Crisis." Could someone out there name a utopian society that we could learn from? Seriously, name one country out there that's government takes care of their people better than we do. I can't come up with one. I'm willing to learn.
